Editorial

With a great pleasure I am delighted to allude EJBI and would like to express my happiness on successful completion of its 15 years of being in this Scientific Publishing Field. During the year 2019, all issues of volume 15 were published online well within the time and the print issues were also brought out and dispatched within 30 days of publishing the issue online. As the frequency of issue release is bi-annual, and strictly supported by peer-review process. EJBI has provided a really exciting opportunity to the healthcare interdisciplinary across the worldwide to disseminate a high quality content on the ongoing topics (Digital Health, mhealth, EHealth, Artificial Intelligence, Electronic Health Record, Machine Learning, and Interoperability).

EJBI also brought out an online Special Issue every year or an additional issue to maintain its accuracy and authenticity. The primary aim of the journal is to form all the information’s freely available regardless of different socio-economic barriers, which further will make a headway in the Biomedical Science.

According to the reports, 2019 Journal Impact Factor was built up by separating the quantity of articles distributed in 2017 and 2018 with the occasions they were referred to in 2019 dependent on Google Scholar Citation Index database and was seen as 1.02 and will definitely take off for the year 2020 with the support of eminent researchers around the world. During 2019 a good number of articles were subjected to the peer-review process and most of them were accepted. We are also available to the authors through live chat and WhatsApp to respond fast. Social networking twitter site was also been endeavored to improve readers for the published respective article and to increase with the number of followers.

I take this opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of highly experienced subject experts in the field of biomedical informatics (authors) and the reviewers during the final editing of articles published. Also thankful for the support rendered by the editorial assistants (Prof Bernd Blobel, Prof. Saif Khairat, Prof. Raymond Francis Sarmiento and Prof. Soo-Yong Shin), in bringing out issues of EJBI in time with great coordination and leadership. Section editors and guest editors were also engaged, to maintain topic specific proper evaluation of research manuscripts.

Also the attribute of former Editor-in-chief Late Prof Jana Zvarova from Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic can be analyzed currently. Her appointment since the origination of the journal was in itself an indication of the extent to which the journal is moving into the field of the development and improvement of health and social care by means of medical informatics, biomathematics and biostatistics as well as epidemiology both nationally and globally, a move which owes much to the former editor‘s actively involvement and foresight.

Two very distinguished scholars whose role particularly have been seminal in promoting EJBI in developing and emerging bioinformatics namely Prof. Mauro Giacomini and Prof Izet Masic joined as an Editor-in-Chief for this journal. I am sure with their guidance, we will be able to make this journal more relevant to the research community. I would also like to express my gratitude to all the authors, reviewers, the publisher, the advisory and the editorial board of EJBI, the office bearers and staff of EFMI (European Federation for Medical Informatics) secretariat for their support in bringing out another volume of EJBI and look forward to their unrelenting support to bring out the Volume 16 for the year 2020 of EJBI in scheduled time.
